Rising to New Heights with Rocky Ledge Estates: A Legacy Rooted in Family, Vision, and Tenacity

At Team Findleton, we understand the power of legacy. Our family roots are deeply ingrained in the world of construction and design, propelling us forward with confidence as we undertake our ambitious project at Rocky Ledge Estates. The vision? To create eight identical Private Resort Homes on our 42.5-acre gated estate near the World Famous Burney Falls.

Our confidence stems from a long history of hard work and success in construction and design. My father, Sam Findleton, was the creative force behind numerous projects, including our family home, our mountain cabin, and the renowned Chet Holifield Federal Building or "the Ziggurat Building," in Laguna Niguel, California. His brother, Ronald Findleton—an architect and engineer who achieved licensure without ever stepping foot on a college campus—remains an inspiration to us all.

Adding to our family’s rich legacy in construction is my brother Tom, a successful builder of luxury residences in El Dorado County before establishing Findleton Estate Winery. My own journey saw me traverse the healthcare industry for 50 years before shifting gears into real estate. We purchased our family home, converting it into River Gables—a Private Residence Club situated on the South Fork of the American River in historic Coloma, famous for being the gold discovery site.

In 2008, we sold River Gables for $2.2 million to pursue a new passion—fighting melanoma skin cancer. Sadly, our venture became another casualty of the COVID-19 pandemic. We had to dissolve DermDetect, where I served as CEO. Our original dream to invest our DermDetect profit into the construction of Rocky Ledge Estates—one parcel left for each of our seven children—came to a halt.

But every end is a new beginning. We've pivoted our strategy and are now seeking a single investor to share in this legacy. We offer the land, designs, and building plans for these Private Resort Homes, fueled by our unwavering passion to build a sustainable financial machine for generations to come.

The journey has been long and marked with highs and lows. Yet, we remain steadfast in our commitment to making Rocky Ledge Estates a reality. The legacy of the Findleton family is etched in every stone, every design, every decision we make as we work towards realizing this dream. We will name the Event Center after our investor so they will be on the World Map forever!

This venture is more than an investment opportunity—it's the chance to be part of a vision that celebrates family, perseverance, and the power of dreams. Ready to join us on this extraordinary journey? Our next Blog Post will discuss our plans to team with subcontracotrs.🎉
